In practice: 2 years of credits earned in the UAE = 3 years of credit recognised in Michigan. So when you transfer after Year 2, you are not starting over or catching up, you arrive in Michigan as a final-year student, ready to complete your year and graduate.
You don't repeat work. You continue it. The degree takes 3 years in total, because the UAE credits count in full.
How the pathway works — all UG programs
Transfer to Michigan is after Year 2 in UAQ. This applies to all undergraduate programs (BBA and BSIT). Graduate programs do not transfer to Michigan, they are standalone qualifications completed fully in UAQ.
A note for parents: The 3-year total (2 UAE + 1 Michigan) is the Walsh model itself, not a shortcut. Both campuses share one HLC-accredited course framework. A student who transfers after Year 2 in UAQ arrives in Michigan as a continuing third-year student — not a new transfer starting fresh. Every credit earned in UAQ has already been counted.
